Note the price two weeks before. The most common trick is raising the listed price shortly before a sale so the discount looks larger. If you know what a product cost in the quiet period, you know whether the sale price is real — that is what our price tracker is for.
Stack the bank offer. Every big sale runs a 10% instant discount with one or two banks, capped at ₹1,000-2,000. On a large purchase that is often worth more than the sale discount itself. Check which card before you buy, not at checkout.
Buy in the first hours, or not at all. Genuinely deep discounts are inventory-limited. The stock that lasts to day four is usually the stock nobody wanted at that price.
Check both retailers. Amazon and Flipkart schedule their festival sales within a day of each other precisely to force a comparison. The same phone regularly differs by ₹2,000-3,000 between them.
Decide what to buy before the sale starts. The worst purchases happen at 2am on day one, choosing between two models you have never compared. Our buying guides cover what actually matters at each budget, so you walk in knowing what you want.
